What receipts can Plendi Handle?
We’ve written apps for iPhone and Android. We’re planning to add other devices soon. If you’d like us to support a specific device, please let us know.
What should I not send to Plendi?
We use real people, so we handle most receipts. We’re much more accurate than serices based on automated OCR systems. If you can get a legible image of the receipt, we can usually process it.We are used to Latin alphabet. Receipts in Middle Eastern, Asian, Greek, Cyrillic or Russian alphabets may cause us difficulty, but we’ll do our best. These are the kinds of receipts we most often process for our customers.

What happens if Plendi makes a mistake?
Please don’t send anything with complete credit card numbers, or bank or credit card statements
What information from my receipt is collected?
We do our best, but we’re human and we will occassionaly make mistakes. If we get a piece of data wrong, you can easlily correct it in the web interface, where you can compare the digital record against the original receipt image.
How can I ensure my receipts are read accurately?
We extract the date, vendor, currency, Net, VAT and total amount.
How long does it take to process my receipts?
For the best results, snap your receipt as soon as you get it; before it has been crumpled or folded. Place it on a flat surface, and take the picture straight on. Hold the camera steady – shakes can make the text hard to read. The better the image, the faster and more accurately we can process it.
Can I download my information or send it to other programs?
Receipts sent during the business day GMT are usually processed within hours. We promise to process receipts before the close of the next business day. If you send a receipt on Wednesday evening, it will be done before 6pm on Thursday. If you send us a receipt on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it will be done before 6pm on Monday.
How long will Plendi store my receipts?
Right now you can transfer your receipts to PDF (with receipt images), or Microsoft™ Excel. We are integrate with the popular accounting and bookkeeping applications so that your receipts update in your bookkeeping system automatically. Please let us know which system you’re using in our customer forum.
Who does the data entry?
We store your receipts for as long as you maintain a subscription. There is no data storage limit and no expiry.
Data entry is performed by Plendi’s own staff and by workers in developing countries. When you use Plendi, your expenses mean income and opportunity for others.

What happens if I go over my monthly limit of receipts?
The free trial is limited to 15 receipts. You may cancel at any time during the free trial and pay us nothing. When your free trial expires, you’ll need a credit card to start a paid plan.
Can I change or cancel my Plan?
Everyone gets busy once in a while, and if you exceed your limit a little, we’ll understand. If you’re regularly exceeding your limit, we’ll ask you to switch to a higher plan.
Can I get my receipts after I cancel my subscription?
You can change or cancel your plan at any time. If you upgrade your plan, your will have immediate access to new features, and your subscription will increase at the next billing cycle. If you downgrade your plan, your subscription will decrease at the next billing cycle. If you cancel more than three days before your billing cycle, your card will not be charged again. We do not offer refunds for unused time if you change or cancel your subscription.
We recommend that you download your receipts before you cancel your subscription. If you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the Plendi website for a period of 3 months to download your receipts. If your subscription is cancelled, we will not process any new receipts for you.
Privacy and SecurityIs my data secure?
How is my privacy protected?
Yes. We take security very seriously. We use the same data encryption technology as major banks. All receipt data sent to Plendi from your phone and all access to that data is secured by 256-bit SSL. Our 1024 bit certificate uses the SHA1+RSA signature algorithm and is issued by DigiCert, a globally trusted Certificate Authority. We log all visits to the site. All data is stored on highly available and resilient servers and backed up at multiple locations. Your credit card information is never stored on Plendi servers, nor visable to our staff. Our payment processing partner, SagePay is audited annually under the PCI DSS and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance.
We’re committed to protecting your privacy. We’re based in Ireland, so we’re subject to Europe’s comprehensive data-protection laws. We do not give your personal information or your contact information to anyone. Our system never shows your personal information to any of our data entry workers – they see only the individual receipts that they are transcribing.
